Got questions? We’ve got answers!
What Utah and Arizona lakes do you serve?
With the convenience of rent-and-tow, you can take our watercraft to the lake or destination of your choice. We primarily service Lake Powell (Page, Arizona) using either the Stateline at Wahweap or Antelope Point VIP launch ramp.
You may also pick up watercraft in Page and tow to your destination of choice.
Do you offer hourly or half-day rentals?
We do not offer hourly or half-day rentals. However, you are welcome to use the watercraft for as much or as little time as you’d like within your rental period. Full-day pricing still applies.
Can I keep my rental overnight?
Yes. For multi-day rentals, renters are responsible for properly anchoring, storing, or securing the watercraft overnight. Boats may not be beached overnight.
Feel free to contact us to discuss these options.
What is your deposit, payment, and cancellation policy?
A refundable security deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your reservation. The rental balance is due 14 days prior to the start of your reservation and will be automatically charged to the same payment method used at booking unless alternate arrangements are made in advance.
The security deposit is held until the conclusion of the rental period after the watercraft and equipment are returned, inspected, and applicable services are completed.
The deposit may be used for:
damages or loss
fuel charges
excessive cleaning
late return fees
missing equipment or accessories
insurance deductible application
other costs incurred during the rental period

Reservations made through third-party platforms including Boatsetter or Getmyboat are subject to the cancellation and refund policies of those platforms.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Reservations may be paid securely online through Stripe using most major credit cards.
Are life jackets included with my rental?
Yes. Your safety is our priority. We provide U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets in a range of standard adult sizes to meet the maximum capacity of each boat.
We recommend bringing properly fitted life jackets for:
children under 13
guests requiring sizes outside our standard inventory
By law:
life jackets must be onboard for all passengers
children under 13 must wear a life jacket at all times
all persons operating or riding on a personal watercraft must wear a life jacket
life jackets must be worn while swimming from a boat or PWC
Who can operate the boat or personal watercraft? Do I need a boater’s license or experience to operate?
Boats (Surf Boats & Pontoons)
Passengers of all ages are welcome onboard. However:
all boat operators must be at least 24 years old
operators must possess a valid driver’s license
operators should have basic boating experience and be capable of safely operating, docking, maneuvering, loading/unloading, and trailering the boat
Personal Watercraft (PWC / Waverunners / Jet Skis)
operators under 14 years old are not permitted to operate PWCs under any circumstances
operators ages 14–17 may be required to complete a Utah State Parks approved boating education course and operate under required supervision

Approved Utah boating education courses are available here: Utah Boating Education Courses
Edge Marine (Salty Squad Rentals) reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who:
lacks adequate boating knowledge or experience
appears incapable of safely operating the equipment
is unwilling or unable to comply with boating laws or operational instructions
Any citations, fines, penalties, or legal violations incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter/operator.
Do we need to fuel the watercraft? What type of fuel?
Your rental is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full. You have two options:
Option 1 — Refuel Yourself
You may refuel at the marina using 89 octane or higher fuel and provide a receipt showing the tank was filled prior to return.
Option 2 — We Refuel for You
If preferred, Edge Marine (Salty Squad Rentals) can refuel the watercraft in town after your rental. Fuel costs will either:
be deducted from your deposit, or
reimbursed through an agreed payment method (such as Venmo)
Many renters choose this option to avoid higher marina fuel prices.
What kinds of items are prohibited on the watercraft? Are there activities that are not allowed?
For your safety, the safety of other boaters, and to protect our fleet, the following are prohibited:
smoking onboard
operating under the influence
glass containers
exceeding passenger capacity
operating after sunset
beaching boats
reckless or unsafe operation
pets over 20 lbs
shoes onboard boats
Violation of these policies may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and forfeiture of rental payments.
What happens if it’s windy or raining?
Weather conditions at Lake Powell can change quickly. Edge Marine (Salty Squad Rentals) reserves the right to delay, modify, or cancel rentals due to unsafe weather conditions at our sole discretion. If we cancel a rental prior to launch due to unsafe weather, affected rental payments may:
be refunded,
prorated, or
applied toward a future rental date.
Once the watercraft has launched, refunds or credits will not be issued for changing weather conditions, renter discomfort, or early returns due to weather conditions deemed safe for operation.
What happens if the watercraft breaks down?
We perform regular maintenance and take pride in keeping our fleet in excellent condition. However, mechanical failures can occasionally occur. If a verified mechanical failure occurs that was not caused by renter misuse, Edge Marine (Salty Squad Rentals) may:
issue a prorated refund,
apply rental value toward a future rental, and/or
cover reasonable towing costs resulting directly from the mechanical failure.
However, renters remain fully responsible for damages or operational issues caused by misuse, negligence, grounding, collision, improper operation, water ingestion, propeller damage, towing incidents, or operator error. No refunds or credits will be issued for renter-caused damage or interruptions resulting from improper operation.
If a watercraft becomes unavailable prior to the start of your rental due to mechanical concerns, we reserve the right to modify or cancel the reservation. In such cases, your rental payments and deposit will be refunded in full. Edge Marine (Salty Squad Rentals) will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the renter.
